PVC Clear Sheet for PCB Equipment
PVC Clear Sheet for PCB Equipment is Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is used for various applications that deal with see-through or translucent panels, etc.. The PVC clear sheets are manufactured by mixing PVC resin with other materials including stabilizers, lubricants, and plasticiser additives by extrusion process. The primary advantage of PVC Clear sheet over other polymers is its unique combination of transparency and properties found throughout the entire polymer chain of PVC-derived materials.
Products process
The primary method employed is the extrusion molding process:
Batching and Mixing: PVC resin powder and various additives (stabilizers, plasticizers, lubricants, colorants, etc.) are uniformly blended in a high-speed mixer.
Extrusion and Plasticization: The well-mixed material is fed into an extruder, where it is plasticized into a molten state under high temperature and the shear force of the screw.
Mold Forming: The melt is extruded through a "T"-type flat die to form a sheet blank.
Calendering and Cooling: The sheet blank passes through a multi-roll calender to precisely control its thickness, flatness, and gloss. It then enters the cooling roller section for sufficient cooling and setting.
Hauling and Cutting: The sheet is pulled out at a constant speed by a haul-off unit, finally cut to the required length, and surface masked with the film.

Applications
Clear PVC Sheets can be treated with antistatic chemicals to produce sheets that can be used to create racks for printed circuit board (PCBs) and turnover boxes that will not permit the build-up of static electricity, which could cause damage to sensitive electronic components.
PVC Clear sheets can also be used for dust cover applications for machinery in PCB assembly plants, as the sheets are thin enough to allow visibility of the work environment. Clear PVC sheets can be used to cover areas of a PCB during the processes of soldering, spraying, or testing to prevent solder spatter and/or chemical damage.
