This results in improved heat resistance and corrosion resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, oxidizing agents, and other chemicals. The chlorination process also elevates the material's heat deflection temperature and mechanical properties. The chlorine content increases from 56.7% to 63-69%, and the Vicat softening temperature rises from 72-82°C to 90-125°C.
